1. Data controller

Byte-Secure, operating in Cyprus, is responsible for personal data collected through this website. For any privacy matter, contact us at [email protected].

2. Information we collect

When you complete our contact form, we may collect your name, business, email address, telephone number, the service you are interested in and your message. We also collect limited technical information necessary for website security and performance, such as IP address, device or browser type, pages visited, loading times and technical logs.

Do not submit passwords, API keys or other secret information through the contact form.

3. Purposes and legal bases

We use this information to respond to your enquiry, understand your needs and, where requested, prepare a proposal or enter into a business relationship. Processing is based on steps taken at your request before entering into a contract and on our legitimate interests in communicating with prospective customers and protecting the website. Where applicable, processing may also be necessary to meet a legal obligation.

We do not use contact-form details for promotional email without separate consent.

4. Service providers and transfers

We use a limited number of providers to operate the website: Netlify for hosting and form handling, Cloudflare for DNS, security, Web Analytics and email routing, and our email account provider. These providers process information under their own terms and data protection arrangements.

Some providers may process information outside the European Economic Area using legally recognised safeguards where required. We do not sell personal information.

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics for aggregated traffic and performance measurement. Cloudflare states that the service collects the minimum information needed and does not track individual users across different websites. We do not use advertising or retargeting cookies. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary cookies when required for security or protection against malicious activity.

6. Retention

Information relating to a general enquiry is retained for up to 12 months after our last communication and is then deleted or anonymised, unless a longer period is required for an active engagement, the establishment or defence of legal claims, or compliance with tax and other legal obligations.

7. Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or portability of your personal information and object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.
